Before carbon frames came to dominate top-level bicycle racing, the aluminum Formigli Uriel was Renzo Formigli’s most successful frame. His light, stiff Uriels were ridden to victory many times by Italian racing teams.

In the rush to carbon, aluminum has lost some of its luster — but aluminum is still a super effective material for purposeful racing frames. And a Uriel is custom made just for you, just as the carbon models and the Classic are. The Formigli Uriel is much lighter than the Classic and more resistant to knock-around damage than carbon bikes.

If you are not a featherweight or if you are a strong sprinter, consider a Uriel. If you know you do not always treat your racing bicycle with kid gloves, a Uriel would be ideal.
